To get started, shop for a policy in just a minute. just sign in to your tesla app.

• Current owners of tesla vehicles can purchase a policy on the tesla app by tapping on the profile picture icon, located in the upper right corner. select ‘get tesla insurance’.
• for new owners of tesla vehicles, you can purchase a policy on the tesla app prior to taking delivery and once you have a vin assigned to your tesla account. tap the profile photo icon, located in the upper right corner. select ‘get tesla insurance’.
• for tesla vehicle owners with non-tesla vehicles, you can also insure your non-tesla vehicles by adding the vehicle when you purchase a policy. For existing policyholders, please contact us to add your non-Tesla vehicles to your policy.
• For owners of non-Tesla vehicles in California, you can also insure your non-Tesla vehicles by adding the vehicle when you purchase a policy.

After your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email and will be able to view your insurance card and policy documents, view billing and payment details, update your insurance payment method, and make claims from within the app of tesla.

billing and payments

You can make payments online with a debit or credit card. tesla will automatically charge each monthly premium payment to this card. To update your tesla insurance payment method in the tesla app, follow these steps:

1. Tap the profile picture icon in the top right corner.
2. tap “account”.
3. touch “safe”.
4. tap “manage payment”.

Depending on the state, fees are usually added to the first payment. all rates are non-refundable in case of cancellation.
